One of our favorite meals around the house right now is Hawaiian Haystacks. They are perfect when you are craving something crunchy, warm, and cold… all at the same time. It’s also great for leftovers.
Here’s how we cook ours up at the house:
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- cooked rice
- Toppings (pick any that you like): almonds, cheddar cheese, chow mein noodles, diced celery, diced tomatoes, pineapple chuncks, raisins, shredded coconut, soy sauce, green onions, olives.
Mix soup, broth and water over medium heat. Create your Haystack by starting with the rice, then cream of chicken sauce, chicken, and then toppings as desired.
Kids love this meal too because they get to create their own. Enjoy!
P.S. Don’t forget- the giveaway for the Greener Pup Bed ends today!
